I sympathize with those disappointed by this service. Obviously, the company is not run by Americans, as anyone who has read their web site or communicated with their admin can see. However, to say that none of their writers are American or college-educated would be a lie. I know of at least one writer on that site who is a native speaker with a master's degree: me.

I have two B.A.s (English and psych) and an M.F.A. in writing, and I was born in Philly (currently working on a future case of skin cancer here in Tucson, AZ). Writing is my life. I never plagiarize. I do high-quality, original work, and I enjoy doing it.

Unfortunately, it's not easy for freelancers to find customers; these companies have money to spend on web-based advertising and manipulating the site to rank higher in search results, whereas it is not possible for me to reach clients on my own. It's a shame. Paper mills keep about 60% of your money; the writers make less than half of what you pay. If there were a site where you dealt directly with writers (at your own risk), you would pay less, and the writers would earn more.

Anyway, it looks as if this forum may have had some far-reaching effects, as the number of available orders on the site has dropped radically. This may be good for those who've been disappointed with ESL papers, but it's hard on folks like me. Yes, I'd prefer to sell my novel and make a million dollars, but right now, I'm just trying to pay the rent, and it's not easy. I work for a few of these companies, and until recently, MasterPapers/Academia-Research was the most profitable.

If you're being paid only 40% of the order total, you are almost certainly working for a FOREIGN company. The majority of the North American companies that we have verified pay their writers 50-60% of the order total. I suggest that you ditch MasterPapers.com / Academia-Research.com and stop serving as their underpaid labor.

I also sympathise with you, but to give you an example, I spent over $200US to get one of those bogus writers to write an essay for me, and I received 4.5 out of 20 as a score.

Thanks to the posts to this site, I have filed a for a refund through the company I made payment with,SWREG.
Masterpapers are daylight robbery. Dont expect to get anything out of them. I missed my deadline because of them, and worse still they did not even deliver a thing. Nothing. The order is two weeks overdue, and I still get promises from admin that it will be done. Its scandalous!!!! They take days to respond to messages, and the online live help is always unavailable. It was only available once. I have sent several messages, and now I have gone through the company I made payment with SWREG and I hope to receive a Full refund. Dont ask a refund through masterpapers otherwise you will wait forever. They are just fraudsters.
