Information on sparrow papers. I decided to use sparrow papers for editing for my paper. Basically the girl on the phone "cathy" yes'ed me to death saying they could do this and that. She tried to get 750 out of me but I ended up telling her that I only needed certain sections so it came out to 475.

After fighting to speak with the editor after "Cathy" repeatedly tried to get more money out of me..... and I kept telling her NO. Supposidly I had a 1/2 hour free call with the editor to discuss the paper but, she didn't wanted more money. Didn't give it to her though. Anyhow, the editor and I spoke and he said to me "I kept telling her that I couldn't do what you wanted to your specs." So, after 2 separate conference calls I agreed to allow her to take $150 for an hour conference call and then she told me that I had a $275 credit even though services couldn't be rendered!!!!! She said there was a no refund policy.

How can you charge someone for services not rendered? They couldn't edit my paper and did not. I called the woman back for an answer to this question and she started changing her story to fit what she wanted not what actually happened. These folks are scammers!!!! I'm hoping I can get the money back from my credit card company. But, Sparrow papers only take VISA not AMEX. That should have been my first clue since AMEX backs their customers nearly 100% of the time....I hope VISA backs me on this. I have no documentation on much of anything since it was all over the phone. Lesson learned.
