Custom Literary Research, Llc (or Similar Name) - Unpaid

Hi there,

A few years ago a friend and I wrote for a company of this name (or something like that). The man who owned this company also owned a few other domain names. In any case, it's been really bugging me of late that this person never paid me (or my friend) for a number of papers I wrote. He paid me for about a month, then *presto* - no more checks. He claimed financial troubles, and assured us he was good for it. Of course, no paycheck ever arrived, no W2 ever arrived.

This person fluctuated between Washington State and California, and also had a website design company catering to actors. (If anyone recognizes this person, please let me know).

Has anyone here ever filed a small claims court suit against any of these deadbeat term paper companies? I'm considering it. I wonder if there is a statute of limitations, and what the chances are of success. I have screenshots of my account showing my completed work and the amount owed, plus hard copies of all the papers I wrote.
